Game 2 Ticket Prices Running Hot

Fans in Miami for the series are seeing high ticket prices

Mavs fans in Miami who are hoping to watch their team take on the Heat in Game 2 of the NBA Finals better have deep pockets.

"Yeah, we looked at it right now, and it was $600 for the top, and it was, 'Really? Here's my arm and leg,'" Mavs fan Noha Mourad said.

Since Tuesday night, ticket prices have skyrocketed out of the reach of many fans.

"It doubled," said Mavs fan Ayah Sayyee. "And so it was showing tickets around $800 for a section like 305, and so it wasn't going to be worth it to buy the tickets."

Mourad happened to be in Miami for the finals and said she was hoping to catch a game.

"We were like, 'Oh, my gosh, we have to go to a game, and it's going to be so much fun," she said.

And scalpers aren't an option. Miami police arrested about a dozen Tuesday night in front of the American Airlines Arena.

"I wasn't surprised, because it is the NBA Finals, and they're a hot commodity," Sayyee said.

But maybe fans can get together for a Texas-sized bash.

"Let's have a party. Like, let's do something, please. Hit me up," Mourad said with a laugh.

After all…

"We have Dirk, we have the Jet, we have J.J. so…," Sayyee said. "They have expensive tickets, and that's it."
