Frogs Playing Last Game in “Old” Home

TCU has only one more game at 80-year-old Amon G. Carter Stadium before a major modernizing renovation.

The place where Davey O'Brien won a Heisman Trophy and a national championship more than seven decades ago, Bob Lilly was a fierce defender and LaDainian Tomlinson set the NCAA single-game rushing record will finally catch up with the times.

More than 400 former lettermen are expected there when the third-ranked Frogs (10-0) play San Diego State (7-2) on Saturday. With a win, TCU guarantees at least a share of the Mountain West Conference title and stays in contention for a possible national title shot.

Coach Gary Patterson says it's a big and emotional week for the Frogs.
