FBI agents arrested former Dallas Cowboy Leonardo Carson at his Irving home Thursday morning on drug charges out of Alabama.

The charges allege Carson conspired to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana.

Carson, 32, a former Auburn University football player, was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2000. He played defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys during the 2003-2004 season before being cut on Sept. 5, 2005.

Then head coach Bill Parcells said he was fond of Carson, whom he hoped would land with another team, according to DallasCowboys.com

Before he was added to America's Team, Carson was under investigation for first-degree burglary and second-degree kidnapping according to LubbockOnline.com.
