Trinity Honors School Officer During Playoffs

Euless Police Officer Richard Wong

Trinity football players honored Euless Police Officer Richard Wong during high school playoffs Saturday.

Officer Wong suffered a heart attack and died at the Hurst Recreation Center while playing racquetball Monday night.

Wong had been assigned to Trinity High School since 1998 as a school resource officer.

Trinity football players wore a sticker on their helmets honoring Wong during their regional playoff game against Arlington Martin at noon Saturday at Bedford's Pennington Field.

Arlington Martin beat  Euless Trinity 19-7.
