RUSTENBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - JUNE 15: Gareth Barry looks on during the England training session at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on June 15, 2010 in Rustenburg, South Africa.

England coach Fabio Capello says midfielder Gareth Barry will play against Algeria on Friday in the team's second World Cup match.

Barry has been sidelined since May 5 when he damaged ligaments in his right ankle while playing for Manchester City. Capello told the BBC on Wednesday that "Gareth will play this Friday. He is OK, there is no problem. He has trained very well and he is fit."

Barry missed Saturday's 1-1 draw with the United States in the Group C opener.
