Eagles Make it Official with Ex-Cowboy Miles Austin

Austin signed a one-year deal with the Eagles on Monday

Just a few weeks after the signing of DeMarco Murray, the Philadelphia Eagles have added another former Dallas Cowboy.

According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, receiver Miles Austin signed a one-year deal worth $2.3 million with the Eagles on Monday. The two-time Pro Bowler will have a chance to make it an even $3 million if he earns all the incentives written into the deal.

Cut by the Cowboys after eight seasons prior to last year, Austin appeared in 12 games for the Cleveland Browns in 2014, posting 47 catches, 568 yards and two touchdowns. His season came to an end in December due to a kidney injury that led him to the injured reserve.

After joining the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Monmouth in 2006, Austin emerged as a Pro Bowler in 2009 and 2010, but hamstring injuries hampered the final few years of his career in Dallas. Next season will be his 10th in the NFL.
