Eagles 33, Cowboys 10: Whitt Watch Top 10

10. You can blame the Cowboys wearing blue jerseys at home, but they beat the Raiders in the same jerseys on Thanksgiving 2013.

9. The longer this season wears on, the more we sadly realize that the only difference in this Cowboys’ defense and last season’s Cowboys’ defense is a healthy Rolando McClain. He was playing on one leg today. And the defense was woefully familiar.

8. You know it’s not the Cowboys’ day when defensive end George Selvie turns a certain sack of Mark Sanchez into a 15-yard penalty.

7. Tony Romo ain’t right. He voluntarily took sacks. He didn’t get his feet set. He threw off-balance. He lacked zip on his passes. And he threw for only 199 yards against a pass defense that came into the game ranked 30th. Don’t know if it was a physical problem or the Eagles’ pass rush, but something appeared horribly wrong. Maybe this is why he doesn't practice on Wednesdays.

6. Bald with shades and black gloves? Pitbull looked like every Uber driver I’ve ever had.

5. Down 23-10 early in the third quarter seemed like the perfect time for a momentum-shifting onside kick, but who am I kidding? Head coach Jason Garrett doesn’t have the creativity – or the guts – to take such a gamble.

4. Cowboys hosting Eagles on Thanksgiving isn’t a swell idea. Last two turkey visits by Philadelphia, Dallas has been outscored by a combined 60-10.

3. The Cowboys are 3-4 at home; 5-0 on the road. I can’t begin to explain that one.

2. The Eagles were just quicker and faster and better. But boy were the Cowboys’ safeties bad. Barry Church, J.J. Wilcox and even C.J. Spillman were embarrassingly bad against the run and the pass and the everything.

1. Pass around the dressing – and the blame. This was simply a good team laying an egg on Thanksgiving. A very crappy Thanksgiving. Worse no-show against the Eagles since the 2008 season ended with a 44-6 thud.
