DeMarco Murray Not Thinking About Contract Yet

Murray is enjoying some R&R after setting franchise records in rushing and attempts in 2014

While DeMarco Murray’s impending free agency is on the minds of a great many Dallas Cowboys fans in North Texas, Murray himself says he hasn’t thought about it much.

Murray, who served as a captain of Team Irvin in the Pro Bowl last Sunday, is still unwinding from the season--and the rest is certainly well deserved. In 2014, he led the NFL and set new franchise records in rushing attempts, with 392, and rushing yards, with 1,845.

After all that, Murray isn’t yet in the mood to talk contracts.

I don’t know, I don’t know yet--it’s too early,” Murray told 105.3-FM The Fan this week. “I’m just hanging out, relaxing with my family and enjoying life.”

The Cowboys’ season came to an end just two and a half weeks ago, but Murray says that he’s already feeling refreshed from the little bit of down time he’s been able to enjoy to this point this offseason.

“I always felt great throughout the entire course of the season,” Murray said. “I feel better now, obviously, not running for a week. So I’m feeling good. The body feels great.”
