Dallas Bathed in Blue for the Mavs

Unless you've been living under a rock, you probably know that the Dallas Mavericks are battling the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Western Conference Championship and a shot at the NBA finals.

Tuesday night the Mavericks host the Thunder at the American Airlines Center and the city is showing its support for the home team.

Several buildings in Downtown Dallas are bathed in blue lights for the Mavericks.

The Omni Hotel went with a striped motif, with one entire side covered in blue and a hint of green at the top and bottom.

This isn't the first time the city has cranked out color for a big event. During Super Bowl XLV, buildings in downtown Dallas turned blue for the NFC Champion Green Bay Packers, while Fort Worth went with red and purple for the AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

Sundance Square, most notably the Chesapeake Energy building, also went purple in support of the TCU Horned Frogs' trip to the Rose Bowl in January.

No word yet if Sundance Square will get into Mavs Mania, but we're making calls.
