Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jack Crawford intends to take advantage of his first ever experience as a free agent in the NFL this offseason, whatever that means, and it worked out so there should be a good deal of interest in the London native.
When Crawford arrived in Dallas, he had 18 tackles and no sacks in 19 games with the Oakland Raiders, the team that drafted him in the fifth round out of Penn State in 2012. But he posted two sacks in just six games in 2014, before doubling that total with four this season.
Now, Crawford would like to come back to Dallas, but he wants to see what this free agency thing is all about.
“You don’t just go into free agency and not even look at any offers,” Crawford said, per Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas. “It is what it is. A lot of this stuff you don’t have a lot of control over. You don’t have as much control over it as people may think in free agency. You just have to kind of see what’s on the table and honestly I have no idea what to expect or how it works because I’ve never been in this position before.”
