Crews at The Star Prepare for Frisco's Quadruple Header

The first game to ever be played at The Star in Frisco will happen Saturday morning.

Doors at the Cowboys' new training facility will officially open at 8 a.m., thirty minutes before the start of the first game.

But it won't be the Cowboys taking the field.

It’ll be hundreds of Frisco high schoolers.

Members of the Centennial High School Marching Band rehearsed one final time Friday before they step onto the field at The Star.

“It’s very exciting because we are, we will be the first generation on that field,” said senior Deborah Bartruff.

The band will play from the stands and take the field for a brief half-time performance alongside Frisco High School’s Marching Band. Kickoff for their game is at 8:30 p.m.

“Once they go into the facility tomorrow, I think they'll really get an understanding how nice it is and how lucky they are,” said Band Director Andy Rein.

Crews at The Star could be seen Friday making last-minute preparations for Saturday’s games.

Eight high school football teams in Frisco will play in a quadruple header.

The unusual opportunity is made possible through a partnership between Frisco ISD and the Dallas Cowboys.

Moving forward, The Star is where Friday night football in Frisco will be played.

Frisco police say 41 officers have been assigned to Saturday’s games. Most will be directing traffic in and out of the stadium.

Parking lots open at 7:30 a.m.

Doors open at 8 a.m.

Kick-off for the first game -- Reedy vs. Independence -- is at 9 a.m.
