Cowboys Edge Giants, 31-28

The Cowboys are now 8-3 on the season

After a rough first half, the Dallas Cowboys prevailed over the New York Giants on Sunday night, 31-28.

The Giants got the scoring started with the dynamic rookie receiver Odell Beckham, Jr., who caught a 43-yard touchdown pass to cap a 13-play, 80-yard drive and give the Giants a 7-0 lead. Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey would hit a 38-yard field goal, but Beckham struck again early in the second quarter with one of the most impressive catches any of us have ever seen. After that, it was 14-3 Giants.

Dallas got back in the game with a touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Jason Witten to draw the deficit to 14-10, but New York took another 80-yard drive to the end zone--this time capped by a three-yard run by Andre Williams--to make it a two-possession game once more.

The Cowboys regained control in the second half, starting with a 45-yard pass from Romo to Cole Beasley. Romo followed that up with a 31-yard toss to Dez Bryant to give Dallas the lead at 24-21.Romo finished 18 of 26 passing for 275 yards and four touchdowns. Bryant finished with seven catches for 86 yards.

Adrien Robinson caught a touchdown pass from Eli Manning late in the fourth quarter to retake the lead, but Romo led the Cowboys to a game-winning, 80-yard drive, finished off with a 13-yard touchdown throw to Bryant.

The defense held up with less than a minute left, and the Cowboys won on the road, 31-28.

DeMarco Murray finished with 121 yards on 24 carries.

At 8-3, the Cowboys will host the Eagles on Thursday at AT&T Stadium.
