Central Arkansas Over Austin

Nathan Dick threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns, including a 58-yard pass to Jesse Grandy in the third quarter, to lift Central Arkansas to a 38-28 victory over Stephen F. Austin on Saturday night.

Defense also played a big role in scoring for the Bears (2-3, 1-1 Southland). Linebacker Seth Allison pulled down an interception in the second quarter and carried it 34 yards to give Central Arkansas a 21-6 lead. Then in the third, cornerback Marcus Peters picked up a fumble by SFA's Cordell Roberson and ran it 55 yards for a touchdown and the Bears' largest lead 35-6.

Isaiah Jackson added to the Bears' total with a 91-yard kickoff return in the second quarter. The Lumberjacks (1-4, 0-1) rallied in the fourth quarter as Brady Attaway threw for three touchdowns while the Bears added only a field goal, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 29-point deficit.
