Bryant Gets Nod for Weekly Award

Dez Bryant matched New York Giants rookie receiver Odell Beckham on Sunday by catching three touchdown passes, but Bryant was able to get his in primetime in a game to decide first place in the NFC East in the Cowboys' win over the Eagles.

And because of that, Bryant was awarded NFC offensive player of the week honors on Wednesday morning after his six-catch, 114-yard performance. On top of his three touchdowns, he had another catch that helped set up a DeMarco Murray 2-yard touchdown run after the Eagles had taken a brief lead in the third quarter.

Bryant won the award for the first time this season, and it gives him another feather in his cap heading into the offseason when he'll be a free agent looking for a new deal.

His numbers should speak for themselves, however, as he leads all of football with 13 touchdown catches and is now over 1,000 yards on the season.

Bet your bottom dollar that the Cowboys will fork over pretty much whatever Bryant wants because he's proven to be a transcendent talent and has matured a ton since his rookie season.
