Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter won’t play in Sunday’s NFC East matchup with the Giants at AT&T Stadium but believes he’ll be back in Week 8.
Carter has missed the past two weeks with a quad injury suffered in the win over the New Orleans Saints. Before that, he had been putting together quite a nice season, with 25 tackles, a sack and an interception.
Carter will spend this week doing rehab work in anticipation of next week’s meeting with the Redskins.
“I ran today, did some band work, did some squats,” Carter said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I should be back next week. I feel good. It’s just a matter of getting my strength back and getting myself back in shape.”
