Bruce Carter Probable, Doug Free Ruled Out

Carter has missed the past three games with a strained quad

After almost a month on the sidelines, it looks like Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter will return to the lineup on Monday night against the Washington Redskins.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Carter is officially listed as probable for the game.

Carter suffered a strained quad in the team’s victory over the New Orleans Saints back on September 28 and missed three games with the injury. Before his injury, Carter was playing at a very high level, stacking up 25 tackles, a sack and an interception through the first four games.

In other injury news (not that it should come as any surprise), right tackle Doug Free has been ruled out. Free suffered a broken foot in the win over the Seattle Seahawks and was originally expected to miss 3-4 weeks. According to reports though, there’s a chance he could return early and be available for next week’s matchup with the Cardinals.
