Briles Says Cowboys “Great Place” for RG3

The talk about Robert Griffin III joining the Dallas Cowboys won't die down, especially not with the latest problems for the other big-named, young quarterback seemingly available in Johnny Manziel.

Both are from Texas. Both starred at Texas universities in college football and both won the Heisman Trophy. They're both electrifying runners. That's about where the similarities between the two end.

Baylor coach Art Briles, a Texas native himself, said recently that the Cowboys would be a dream come true for his former quarterback, even if means it's a backup role behind Tony Romo that could possibly lead to a replacement gig when Romo's career is over.

"You could have a dream. That would probably be making it come true," Briles told the Dallas Morning News from Senior Bowl practices last week. "That would be a great place for him. It's a great organization; being back in Texas and with the Cowboys and having a chance to get in there under Romo for three years. Not that they need to sell tickets, but it wouldn't hurt ticket sales."
