Bowling's U.S. Women's Open Coming to Jerry World

Bowling balls will roll where footballs usually fly when Cowboys Stadium hosts the U.S. Women's Open this summer.

Shiny wooden lanes will be placed on either side of the famous Dallas Cowboys star at midfield of their cavernous home in suburban Arlington.

Cowboys spokesman Brett Daniels says the bowling setup will be a first for a stadium that has hosted concerts, rodeos, boxing matches and motocross races.

Organizers hope the June 30 event shatters bowling attendance records. There will be temporary seats on the field behind the bowlers.

Pro bowler Stefanie Nation says it's exciting to have "the pinnacle of women's bowling" at the site of this year's Super Bowl.
