Baylor OC Kendal Briles Submits Resume to be North Texas Head Coach

Baylor offensive coordinator Kendal Briles is among a dozen coaches who have submitted resumes to North Texas, which is in the midst of its search for a new football coach, according to documents provided the Denton Record-Chronicle in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

Briles' name came up immediately after UNT parted ways with Dan McCarney five games into its season. The Texas native and longtime college assistant coach fits the profile of what the school is looking for in a new coach. UNT athletic director Rick Villarreal said earlier this fall that the school is looking for a coach who will install a wide-open offense and appeal to Texas high school recruits.
