Charles Barkley slam dunked on Michael Jordan, ripping His Airness for a mustache most folks thought went out of style right around 1945 or so.

Jordan sports the philtrum-sized 'stache in a new commercial for Hanes in which he poses as an airline passenger seated next to an annoying neighbor.

"I have got to admit when I saw that commercial I had to take a double take," Sir Charles told Miami-based radio host Dan Le Batard. "That is one of the stupidest things that I have seen in a long time."

Barkley didn't draw any comparisons to German dictators, but he made it clear that a short strip above the lip is not okay.

"I mean I have got to admit that I don’t know what the hell he was thinking and I don’t know what Hanes was thinking," Barkley continued. "I mean it is just stupid, it is just bad, plain and simple."

Such a shaving gaffe could never happen to Barkley, even if his own judgment has been shaky at times.

"When I am shooting the Taco Bell commercial they have got this little woman making sure that every cinnamon twist and every piece of cheese is in order and now they let my man get on TV with that terrible mustache," Barkley said.
