Arlington voters Tuesday will decide the fate of the Texas Rangers' proposal for an air-conditioned stadium, topped by a retractable roof.
The proposal has drawn some stiff opposition, but also plenty of support. And people on both sides of the vote feel confident heading into Tuesday's election.
"Our results have been positive. Feedback we've gotten from the polling locations has been very, very positive," said Becky Cowan, campaign manager for the "Vote Yes!" effort.
"All of our volunteers report a lot of support from polling locations during early voting, we're feeling really, really good," Cowan added.
Supporters of the ballpark were placing 1,000 signs at Arlington's 64 polling places before Tuesday's vote.
But opponents of the $1 billion stadium proposal, which would be half-funded by Arlington using existing taxes, aren't leaving anything to chance.
Members of the group Citizens for a Better Arlington were calling voters and making plans to be outside the polls Tuesday.

"If I had to predict something, I think it would be 52-48 (percent) either way. And obviously I think we have a good shot, but it's too close to call in my opinion," said Andy Prior, an organizer with the "Save Our Stadium" initiative.
Both sides are encouraged by the heavy turnout during early voting.
