Entering the final week of the regular season, there are a large number of DFW teams sitting pretty in the AP state polls.

In Class 5A, the top seven spots remained the same, led by No. 1 Cedar Hill and No. 2 Dallas Skyline, who held the spots they've had for nearly the entire season.

Allen is still at No. 5 after its big win over Plano East, and Southlake Carroll and DeSoto moved up a spot to No. 8 and No. 9, respectively. Euless Trinity is in the "others receiving votes" list after a slow start that included a couple of losses.

In Class 4A, undefeated Denton Guyer remained No. 2 with three first-place votes as No. 1 Lake Travis kept the remaining 22. Undefeated Waxahachie checked in at No. 4, and Highland Park is No. 6 with an 8-1 record. Also at 8-1, Aledo checked in at No. 9.

There are some interesting teams in the "others receiving votes" category that will make for some huge matchups in Week 10.

Birdville is undefeated and in the "11th" spot as the top "others" vote getter. Denison is "12th" and Denton Ryan and Stephenville are tied for "No. 13", while Lake Dallas is "15th" despite the fact that Lake Dallas beat Ryan earlier this year. There are two huge Week 10 matchups that will decide district titles as Guyer and Ryan square off on Thursday night, when Aledo and Birdville will also meet. Both games will be televised.

In Class 3A, Argyle moved up to No. 5 and will try to finish off a perfect 10-0 regular season on Friday when they host Celina. A win would also clinch the Eagles first outright district title in school history. Prosper, which Argyle beat earlier this month, is No. 8 and could share the district title if Celina beats Argyle.
