Hours after Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz found out he would join the American League All-Star team, he hit an upper deck home run to lead the Rangers past Seattle 6-to-4 Friday night.
Michael Young hit a three-run home run in the third innning and Hank Blalock had a solo shot in the second as the Rangers used their big bats to win on the road.
Young and Blalock are a combined 23 of 57 (.404) against Seattle this season with four home runs and 10 RBIs in seven games.
Scott Feldman (8-2) went 6 2-3 innings, allowing seven hits and two runs. He was 6-8 last season with a 5.29 ERA.
Frank Francisco had a routine ninth to pick up his 15th save in 17 opportunities.
