Selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2004, Nicolas played in the D-backs farm system for four seasons prior to joining the AirHogs. In 2008 with the Double-A Mobile BayBears, he appeared in 96 games, and batted .260 with 77 hits and 23 doubles.  Nicolas’ collegiate career was played out at Vanderbilt University.
