Prosecutors Don't Oppose Aaron Hernandez Transfer

Hernandez is in a jail in Bristol County in southern Massachusetts, where he is charged in the 2013 shooting of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.

Prosecutors are not opposing a request to move former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez to a jail closer to his Boston attorneys.

But they are firing back at claims from Hernandez's attorneys that the former tight end's privacy and due process rights were violated by the jail administrator.

Hernandez is in a jail in Bristol County in southern Massachusetts, where he is charged in the 2013 shooting of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. His lawyers want him moved to a jail closer to Boston, where Hernandez is charged in the 2012 killings of two men. He has pleaded not guilty in both cases.

Bristol prosecutors said Thursday they don't oppose Hernandez's "wholly reasonable" request to be closer to his lawyers but called the defense's other claims "baseless, theatrical, and legally unsupportable."
