Not to be completely outdone by Jerry Jones, the folks at the American Airlines Center have swapped out their old replay screens for brand-spankin' new HD screens.

The system, a 1080p high-definition center scoreboard, two video walls and a new sound system, was installed over the summer.  The scoreboard features the first multi-zone special effects audio system in an NBA or NHL arena.

It doesn't span 60 yards or even 2/3 of a sheet of NHL ice, but the system will vastly improve the spectator experience in the arena -- increasing the amount of digital video in the arena has increased by over 300 percent.
