7 Texas A&M Mascots Buried Outside Updated Kyle Field

The remains of seven Texas A&M canine mascots have been buried outside Kyle Field following $485 million in renovations to the football stadium.

The Eagle newspaper reports informal ceremonies were held Friday for the reburial of Reveille I through VI.

The former mascots had been temporarily relocated to nearby Cain Park while Kyle Field was being upgraded. Reveille VII, who died in May 2013, was also given a burial coordinated by her guardians.

The Aggies host Ball State on Sept. 12 for the first game at updated Kyle Field, which holds some 102,500 fans.
