2012 Cotton Bowl Sold Out

We don't know who is playing yet, but the 2012 Cotton Bowl is already sold out.

The matchup between the Big 12 and SEC has generated sellouts nine out of the last 10 years and, since moving to Cowboys Stadium, has broken attendance records two out of the last three years. This marks the quickest sellout in the history of the game.

"The Big 12 and SEC matchup has generated sellouts nine of the past 10 years, but none have sold as fast as the 76th Classic," Amy Scott, Director of Ticket Operations said. "This sellout just shows the passion North Texas has for great college football."

The 2012 Classic will be played in primetime for the second consecutive year and the second time in the 76-year history of the game and will be nationally televised on FOX. The teams will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 4.

The game will be held Jan. 6, 2012 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
