Artest was ejected from Wednesday's game after he was hit with a pair of technical fouls

    Laker Ron Artest will sit out Game 3 of his team's playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks.

    Artest was handed a one-game suspension after his ejection from Wednesday night's game.

    Artest was ejected after hitting Dallas' J.J. Barea in the face with his forearm. The technical foul was Artest's second of the game.

    The Mavericks have a 2-0 series lead. Lamar Odom will start in Artest's absence.
