T. Boone Pickens has been on a crusade pushing to move the American economy away from foreign sources of oil and reducing carbon emissions.

When he's not cheering on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the stadium named after him, Dallas oilman T. Boone Pickens is cheering for Gov. Rick Perry.
The billionaire is backing Perry's re-election bid, the governor's campaign announced on Tuesday.
Pickens has deep pockets and is sure pump money into Perry's campaign coffers.
