Joe Barton Wins Dist. 6 Republican Primary

Longtime Republican incumbent Joe Barton has been declared the winner of his District 6 race.

Barton, with 32 percent of the vote tallied, took 64 percent of the vote over Joe Chow, Itamar Gelbman and Frank Kuchar.  See the latest results here.

Chow was holding a distant second with 19 percent of the vote with Kuchar and Gelbman lagging behind.

Barton will now face the winner of the Democratic primary for Dist. 6 in the Nov. 6 general election.

Barton, 62, has held the Dist. 6 seat since he was first elected in 1984.
