National defense might be the heaviest load a president has to carry.
Hillary Clinton has said she is the only candidate qualified and fit for title "Commander-In-Chief."
"A man you can bait with a tweet," she said, referring to Donald Trump during the Democratic Convention, "is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons."
"She is a proven leader who has the temperance to sit there and look at the issues and make good decisions," said Tarrant County Democratic Party Chair Deborah Peoples. "She has been with President Obama and our military leaders when they've made decisions about military actions. She understands there are consequences to military actions."
Clinton has said her 2003 vote in favor of the war in Iraq was a mistake. She's also said it's imperative to learn from mistakes so we don't go down the same path.
Clinton was in the situation room during the tense, but successful raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
Clinton was also Secretary of State during the 2012 attack on the American Embassy in Benghazi. A report on the attack detailed bureaucratic misses and blunders, but fell short of blaming Clinton for events that led to the deaths of four Americans.

"Those things happen in a volatile world," Peoples said. "I think they're just desperately trying to find an issue."
Clinton's military plan includes a long-term budgeting plan that end the sequester for defense and non-defense spending. Clinton wants to invest in technology, reform Veterans Affairs and provide better access to health care, education and economic opportunities for veterans.
The Democratic Convention spotlighted the military when the Khan family took the stage to talk about their son, who was killed in battle, and called out Trump with an offer to lend him their copy of the U.S. Constitution.
Later, several Gold Star families wrote an open letter to Donald Trump demanding an apology for his treatment of the Khans.
"The man doesn't have an essence," said Beatriz Saldivar, whose nephew was killed in Iraq. "He only has a big mouth."
"With things as volatile as they are with ISIS right now, we don't need an erratic leader at the helm and he is one erratic man," said Peoples. "I mean, these are tough times, but I think Secretary Clinton is the person who can lead us best."
