Whisper campaigns. Smear job. Mudslinging. All tactics that political operatives are familiar with when it comes to campaigns, and the race to be the next Governor of Texas is no different.

Governor Rick Perry and Bill White are both taking shots at each other on-line.

BillWhiteforTexas.Com will take you to White's campaign website. But BillWhiteforTaxes.com will direct you to an anti-White site funded by the Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, a group backing Governor Perry.

Perry's campaign website is RickPerry.org. But clicking on Perryisacoward.com will take you to an anti-Perry site funded by Back to Basics, a Democratic political action committee.

YouTube also has ads and videos from campaign operatives. One makes fun of Bill White's campaign, while another talks about lavish political fundraisers.

With less than 60 days left until election day, staffers from both campaigns say the candidates will focus on old fashioned, face-to-face campaigning in the last few weeks.
