Six open Dallas City Council seats, 43 candidates and heated politics lately should mean interest in elections. But it seems the voters haven’t noticed.
Turnout during the nine days of early voting, which is typically low for municipal races, is downright dismal this year. About 30,000 voters cast ballots in Dallas County — out of more than 1.1 million registered voters.
