Police: Job Seeker Sent Naked Selfies to HR Director by Accident

Police believe the manufacturing company rescinded its job offer after the incident

A suburban Chicago manufacturing company apparently rescinded its job offer to a man who unintentionally sent two naked photos of himself to the director of human resources, authorities say.

The 23-year-old Aurora man sent the photos from his cellphone on Aug. 11 at 11:41 p.m., according to Elmhurst Police Chief Michael Ruth.

After the man sent the photos, he left a message on the voicemail at the St. Charles company, leaving his phone number and saying he was unable to make an appointment. The HR director listened to the voicemail on Aug. 12 and recognized the phone number as the same one that sent the nude photos, she told police on Aug. 14.

The man admitted he sent the photos when police contacted him, but he told officers he meant to send them to someone else.

Ruth said he believes the company rescinded its offer to the man, who was told he could not have any further contact with the HR director.

No arrest was made, Ruth said.

NBC Chicago reached out to the company for comment, but a phone call has not been returned.
