NYC Man Gets 20 Years in Shooting of Ex-NFLer's Brother in Queens

Authorities say a New York City man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting the older brother of former NFL player Kevin Ogletree.

Twenty-six-year-old Lonnie Miller was sentenced Friday in Queens. Miller was convicted in May on an assault charge in connection with the shooting of Calvin Ogletree.

Prosecutors say Miller and another man beat Calvin Ogletree during the Jan. 6, 2012 attack near his luxury car rental shop in the St. Albans neighborhood of Queens. They say Miller then stood over the victim and shot him in the head. The second suspect was never caught.

Miller's attorney said he believes his client will be vindicated after an appeal.

Kevin Ogletree played from 2009 to 2014 for the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants.
