5 Politicians Who Have Admitted Drug Use

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's confession Tuesday that he smoked crack cocaine a year ago during a "drunken stupor" puts him in a league of politicians who have copped to drug use.

Marion Barry
It would be remiss to talk about Ford without mentioning Marion Barry. The former D.C. mayor was arrested in 1990 after he was caught smoking crack in a hotel room in a sting operation that was all caught on tape. Unfazed by his prison time, D.C. residents voted him back into office in 1994.

Barack Obama
The current U.S. president admitted in his 1995 memoir "Dreams of My Father" that in high school he used "pot and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it."

Bill Clinton
The former U.S. president said in 1992, when he was a presidential hopeful, that he tried his hand at smoking pot when he was a student at Oxford University, but insisted that he "didn't like it and didn't inhale" and he never tried it again.

Michael Bloomberg
When asked in a 2001 interview, before he was the mayor of New York, whether he had ever smoked pot, he said "You bet I did. And I enjoyed it."

Arnold Schwarzenegger

The Terminator-turned-governor can be seen smoking a joint after winning Mr. Olympia in the 1975 documentary "Pumping Iron."
