Women, Children Held at Gunpoint in Garland Home Invasion

Families seek robbers in Garland home invasion

Garland police are searching for two men after armed home invasion.

The incident happened on July 10 when the two men after following a Dallas speech pathologist into a client’s home where they held women and children at gunpoint.

John Keith told NBC 5 that his wife – who declined to speak with NBC 5 – was the victim of the armed robbery. Keith spoke to NBC 5 about his wife’s experience.

"She later told me, 'this is how its' going to end, I'm never going to see my kids again," said Keith.

Keith’s wife said two robbers followed her from Dallas to a client’s home in Garland where she works as a speech pathologist.

When she arrived, the two men forced their way inside the home. One suspect dragged her by the hair at gunpoint, while the other suspect held a gun at the homeowner’s wife and children.

"Both the suspects were very aggressive guns into the peoples--into victims temples, screaming, threatening to kill them, to murder them, right in front of three little kids-they were very brazen," said Keith.

The robbers ransacked the house and took off with thousands of dollars’ worth of valuables.

"They're due for justice and get put behind bars and that no one has to go through this ever again," said Subhi Gharbieh, the homeowner’s friend. "It's a life and death situation. God knows if something went wrong that day a trigger could have been pulled and somebody could have been dead."

The victims described the robbers to be in their late teens to early 20s, wearing black bandanas on their faces and driving an older model black SUV.

Garland police said they were still tracking down leads in the home invasion.

The families are offering a reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
