Man Charged With Killing Stepsister, Body Placed in Dallas Trash Bin

Dallas police say a man has been charged in the stabbing death of his stepsister, whose body was wrapped in a shower curtain and left in a trash bin.

Dallas County jail records show 41-year-old Anthony Davis was being held Wednesday on a murder charge. Online records don't list an attorney to speak for Davis, whose bond was $500,000.

Officers on Tuesday night responded to a call about people at some apartments seeing a man put a woman's body, wrapped in a shower curtain, into a trash bin on the 2700 block of E. Ledbetter.

Davis was still at the scene when officers located the body of 36-year-old Lashunda Jean Richardson.

Police said Davis was wearing boxer shorts and had blood on his legs when he was arrested at his apartment.

An arrest affidavit said Richardson moved into the suspect's apartment in August. Investigators believe she was fatally stabbed at the residence.

The slaying has been classified as a domestic violence offense because Richardson and Davis were stepsiblings and shared the residence.
