A 76-year-old woman was taken to a Dallas hospital after she was hit by a car while she was using a motorized wheelchair.
According to police, the woman was driving a motorized wheelchair along North Henderson Avenue.
Around 2:42 Monday morning, police said the woman was struck by a van and was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Rescue units told police the woman has non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said they believe the driver of the van did not see the woman driving along the side of the roadway in her wheelchair. The driver was not ticketed in the collision.
