Woman Suspected of Stealing 100+ iPads

Arlington woman's bond set at $100,000

A 37-year-old woman has been arrested who's suspected of stealing iPads from dozens of department stores in two states.

Jessica Faith Hoffman of Arlington is booked into the Grayson County Jail in Sherman on theft charges. Bond is set at $100,000. The Herald-Democrat of Sherman and Denison reports Hood County also has issued a theft warrant for Hoffman.

Sherman police Sgt. Bruce Dawsey says the same woman is seen in surveillance video from nearly 30 Walmarts and several Target department stores in northeast Texas and southern Oklahoma.

Dawsey said at least 12 telephone tipsters identified Hoffman and advised where she could be found. He says she's suspected of taking more than 100 iPads.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Hoffman.
