SWAT Ends Standoff With Gunman in Fort Worth

SWAT use tear gas to end standoff with gunman

A woman was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and a gunman arrested following a standoff at an apartment in Fort Worth.

According to police, officers were called to the shooting at 8:40 a.m. Saturday in the 3400 block of Pebble Beach Way. Officers arrived to find a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The woman, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, Daniel Segura, police spokesman, said in a statement.

Officers locked off the area after the woman told officers the gunman, later identified as 41-year-old Parker Jeffrey Craig, was inside an apartment, Segura said.

Following a standoff, SWAT fired tear gas into the apartment, prompting Craig to jump out of the window, Segura said. Craig was immediately arrested.

Segura did not release information regarding charges against Craig.
