Woman Seen With Baby Deer On Leash At The Alamo

A Texas woman could face charges, after she was seen at the Alamo with a baby deer on a leash.

The Bexar County game warden was requested by Alamo security, because the woman had a white-tailed fawn at the end of a dog leash.

According to a news release, she told the warden she picked the deer up on the side of the road and wanted to take Fourth of July photos with it.

The warden explained the state law forbidding possession of game animals, at which point the woman became "very upset," read the release.

The fawn ended up being taken to a licensed Texas Parks and Wildlife rehabilitator.

Charges against the woman are pending.

Tourists were able to get some free education about attempting to take game animals as pets.
