Woman Narrowly Survives Hit And Run Crash

Sandy Dalton is recovering at home with fractured bones and more. She can only get around with a walker.

The Arlington woman was riding her bicycle in Irving. She said at the intersection of Irving Boulevard and MacArthur, a white Escalade bumped her and almost ran her over. It left the scene shortly after.

Dalton believes there were two people in the SUV.

She hopes someone comes forward to acknowledge the accident.

"One day, not only the person driving, but everyone who sat in silence with them, they will have to look in the mirror every day and know that 'they know'," said Dalton.

"I am sitting here and I will get better -- but I am fortunate."

Dalton said she plans to ride her bicycle again but it could be two months before she's fully recovered.

The Fort Worth Bicycling Association has raised a Crime Stoppers reward for $6,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
