Carrollton police said they are still investigating why a woman led them on a high-speed chase through Dallas early Tuesday morning.
Police said they saw a black Chevy Tahoe with a brake light malfunction at 1:09 a.m. on Interstate 35E near Frankford Road. They said the vehicle sped up when they tried to pull it over.
Police said the female driver went south on I-35E at speeds up to 110 mph before exiting Walnut Hill Lane and heading toward downtown Dallas. She drove to the Dallas Arts District, turned around, headed back to I-35E, police said.
Police said the chase ended when the driver hit a tree by the Park Inn by Radisson near West Mockingbird Lane and Brookriver Drive at 1:31 a.m. where she exited the vehicle and surrendered.
