Woman Drives Truck Into Downtown Fort Worth Building

Keaton Fox, NBC 5

A woman is being checked out at an area hospital after driving her truck into a downtown Fort Worth copy shop Wednesday morning.

Police were called to Thomas Reprographics at the corner of West 7th Street and Lamar Street after witnesses heard the crash around 3:00 a.m.

The truck missed the split in the road along 7th Street, drove over a street sign, over a curb and into the building. Three large panes of glass were shattered along the side of the street and part of the building was caved in.

The woman was slumped over the wheel of the truck and a window had to be broken out of the truck to get the woman out, police said.

A woman who lives in the building said she thought a decorative item on the roof had fallen off and crashed to the ground.

All downtown streets are open after the crash.
