A Dallas police officer working in a construction zone was struck by a woman accused of driving while intoxicated, according to police. [[306247121,C]]
Dallas police said the officer was working traffic control on Interstate 635 near Preston Road when a woman struck the back of his patrol car Thursday night.
A field test led to the driver being arrested for driving while intoxicated, according to police. Her name and condition were not immediately released.
Police said the officer involved was not injured.
The incident was one of two crashes involving Dallas police squad cars Thursday night.
