Police working a fatal crash on Regal Row and state Highway 183 had to draw their weapons when a woman ran up to them, telling them some men in a car were after her.

Police say the incident started in Irving around 6 a.m., where the woman claims she was assaulted.

The woman told police she then tried to leave, but the men followed her.

She drove until she saw police working a crash, police said. She got out, and started yelling when she saw police. The car with two men pulled up, prompting police to pull out their weapons.

Police took the pair into custody as they sorted the whole incident out.

No word yet on what charges, if any, the pair may face.
