Wintry Weather Throws Wrench in Northeast Travel

AA reports about a dozen cancellations at DFW

More than 600 flights were canceled Friday at New York City-area airports as a winter snowstorm bears down on the Northeast.

Most flights at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport have not been affected, but American Airlines reported about a dozen cancellations because of the storm.

The airport said other flights heading anywhere from Chicago to Boston have been delayed.

DFW Airport recommends travelers check with their airline, because flights could be delayed or canceled throughout Friday and into Saturday morning.

The storm came as parts of New England continue to recover from an ice storm last week.
