Plano Woman Honors Fallen Soldiers
A North Texas woman is using her sewing skills to make unique keepsake pillows for military families, which she sends anonymously. Using scraps of fabric, and pieces of used military uniforms, she diligently stitches and stuffs small tokens of her respect. Diana Lopez Axthelm says: "I like doing these, because I feel that the individual parent or the husband or wife that gets this, they will always have something to remember their loved one by."

Lost Dog's Tale Has a Happy Ending
A dog is reunited with its owner after being missing for more than a year thanks to the Dallas Morning News.  The story begins when the stray took up residence in the parking area behind the newspaper's downtown building.  Some employees even ended up dubbing the black Labrador 'Belo.'  Now a Holiday season that began with heartbreak for the dog's owner last year, brings a happy ending just in time for Christmas.

Arlington Thief Gets a Conscience, Returns Stolen Camera
After WFAA aired a story last week about a thief breaking into the car of a cancer-stricken mom and her family visiting Arlington from Oklahoma, the thief apparently grew a conscience. A camera that contained pictures the mother wanted to put in scrapbooks for her kids was returned anonymously to WFAA, who then delivered the camera back to the mother, Pegasus News reports.

Dallas Church Allowed to Help the Homeless One More Night
A South Dallas church cited for code violations will be allowed to use its building as a temporary homeless shelter tonight, and officials will evaluate the conditions on a day-to-day basis, Dallas Fire-Rescue officials said.  The church's pastor, Karen Dudley, said she understands the situation and hopes someone will be able to provide financial assistance so she can continue to help those who need it the most.
